Our Aims, Objectives and Responsibilities to our students

  • Careers Guidance must be relevant to individual students and connect learning to their future
  • Motivate young people to aspire to a range of possible Post-16 pathways by providing clear routes to training and employment that they will find engaging and rewarding

Baker Clause Policy Statement on Provider Access

This statement sets out our arrangements for managing access of Employers, Education and Training providers to our students at ACE Schools Plymouth, for the purpose of giving all of our stakeholders up-to-date information about the provider’s Education or Training offer. This complies with the school’s legal obligations under Section 42B of the Education Act 1997.

ACE Schools Plymouth is working to achieve the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks  using these to empower the statutory guidelines into our planning and delivery of a comprehensive Careers Programme to students across Key Stages 2-4.  As part of our commitment to providing up-to-date Careers and Guidance information to our students and parents, we include Labour Market Information and the full range of Employment, Learning and Training pathways on offer to our students at Post-16.  We are therefore happy to receive requests from Training, Apprenticeship and Vocational Educational Providers, as well as from Employers, to engage our students in the possibilities that may await them when they leave us, to embark upon the next stage of their journey at Post-16.
