End of Term letter
As this year draws to a close, I would like to sincerely thank everyone for the continued support that you have provided in light of the challenges that COVID has presented once again. In many respects this year for our young people has been particularly difficult with the COVID rates in the spring leading to unprecedented levels of staff absence in the teams that support your children at their respective bases.
As well as thanking you, our parents and carers, I would also like to publicly thank our staff team. Each and every member of the team here at ACE schools has gone above and beyond in providing a high-quality education in often very difficult COVID circumstances and I wish them a well-rested summer.
The end of an academic year also brings a number of farewells. We wish our Year 11 pupils who sat the first national exams for 2 years the best of luck going onto their next settings, all of our pupils who are leaving at the end of the year to move into new schools whether in Year 6 or other year groups across the school, and finally a thank you and good luck to a few members of staff who leave us at the end of the year in their exciting new endeavours.
In the autumn pupils will start back on Wednesday 7th September. If there are any different arrangements for your child’s provision, the teams that work with you will be in direct contact. When we return in September we are going to be offering to support families who believe they are eligible for free school meals but haven’t yet applied. We know this process can be complicated, if you would like more information about how we can help with this please contact a member of the team at your child’s base.
The best way to stay up to date with any information that may be relevant over the summer is our website and social media pages that are listed below. Please do check into there from time to time in order to access our most up-to-date information.
Kind Regards
Matt Bindon
